rest in peace
It is with sadness that I share with you the news that my dear friend, Kathy, passed away peacefully Sunday morning. (Blogger has been uncooperative in allowing me to publish this post, so I apologize for its tardy appearance.) Although I was in the process of heading her way to see her one last time, I did not have a last chance to see her, which breaks my heart. My only consolation is that just prior to the time she took her last breath I had shared her story, and to some degree its impact on me in my life of faith, in my sermon. Perhaps that connection, in some galactic, spiritual way, was sufficient for her as a means of farewell for us. The memorial service will be held Thursday afternoon. Thank you all for your prayers and support through this time of waiting and watching. Her soul rests now in the joyful presence of God.

((((((Dearest Anne))))))... I am so sorry you didn't get to see her, but I am sure she knew and felt your presence in her heart.
Father of all, we pray to you for Kathy, and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Holding you and Kathy's family in prayer...
Oh Anne. I am so sorry. It is ANZAC day here - the equivalent of your Rememberance Day perhaps - and it seems quite fitting that I read your news today while we spend a rather quiet day in reflection on those who have gone before us. Now Kathy will always be the brightest poppy in the field for me, this year & the years to come. Love you & holding you close in my heart. Clare
wow, that was quick and for her sake,I'm happy that she is now at peace and out of pain. I'm so sorry you didn't make it up in time Anne but you know you were with her in spirit and love. Big Hugs.
xxoo,
Oh Anne...
I'm so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine how difficult it was for you and her family. I'm glad you got that time with her before and got to see her recently. It is a terrible disease. Know that you and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love you dear Anne. I am sure Kathy knew you were thinking of her.
Dear Anne...So very sorry for your loss...
I am sure Kathy felt your love and presence, although you were absent physically..
As difficult as it is for family and friends now, May you all have peace and comfort knowing she is at peace with God.
Love to You....Karen
Oh, Anne, I just read this. I'm so very very sorry for your loss. I know Kathy holds a very special place in your heart, and always will. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Kath
Dearest Anne, I cannot imagine the sadness you must feel. In many ways I am shocked at how deeply saddened I am for Kathy's passing, it seems distance does not seem to make a difference to the friendship and love of our Early Bird group. Kathy put up one very brave fight. My deepest sympathies to you and Kathy's family.
